Spring Wedding Theme

Spring time is for lovers, many people say. So it naturally follows that the spring wedding theme is very important. To help make your spring wedding turn out a success, here are some tips.

Spring Ahead!

Spring into action as early as possible and begin with early planning. First of all, make and faithfully follow through with a Wedding Checklist. This will be a keepsake, so don’t just grab some scrap paper for your notes. Instead, look at local bookstores or online at places like Amazon.com or Barnes and Noble at bn.com for a wedding journal or keepsake book to log all of your planning activities. In the absence of one or the funds for one, you can use a simple 3-ring binder or notebook along with a plastic pouch or folder with pockets to store receipts and other things.

Next set up tabbed sections in your binder or create some in your notebook. Make each section focus on one of these main subject categories, customized to fit your needs:

• Accommodations
• Dresses and Suits / Accessories
• Beverages and Food
• Ceremony
• Flowers
• Gift Giving
• Attendants / Helpers
• Entertainment / Music
• Photos
• Stationary
• Reminders
• Reception
• Rehearsal

Then grow each category, filling in who’s doing what under each heading. When you receive any vendor brochures, inventory and pricing sheets, bills, receipts, and other printed items, place them all in the plastic pouch or folder you to accompany your wedding journal, binder or notebook.
Spring Tips

Freshen up your spring wedding theme with these tips:

1) Look around to plan for scenic outdoor spring photos. If there are no local flowers around or colorful favorites, plan to order some and have them on hand ahead of time. And plan for spring showers with an alternative shooting schedule under an awning.

2) Order colorful, spring stationary and coordinating stamping pads and festive rubber stamps and ink colors for your Thank You cards, invitations, place cards, message tablets for reminders, printer paper for maps for your guests and wedding party and other communicative items.

3) Plan to use local spring crops in your menus and decorations. Early fresh vegetables and fruits would make a nice centerpiece as well as snack tray for guests. And beautiful bouquets of fresh colorful, scented flowers would be wonderful in all rooms of the house.
