Hawaiian Wedding Theme
A Hawaiian wedding theme is a wonderful way to begin life together for happy
couples. To get the most of out your festive adventure in the tropics here
are some tips for you.
Hawaiian Wedding Theme Packages
Start by checking your budget and finding travel, accommodations and
ceremony packages to compare. You can also ask a wedding planner in your
area or online, or a friend or family member to help out, too. No need to go
it alone!
Also, grab a book or two for help from the public library or bookstore, or
online at Amazon.com, like:
“Hawaii Weddings Made Simple,” by Keri Shepherd (Paperback - Jun 2003)
“Hawaiian Wedding Book,” by Vicki Corona (Paperback - Sep 1989) .
Also shop at eBay the large online auction site for specials and packages in
their travel area: http://pages.ebay.com/travel. Before bidding or buying
(like with Buy Now items) ask all questions first. Make sure you know the
specifics of your travel package like expiration dates, blackout dates, etc.
And get travel insurance if possible.
Search the rest of the eBay site for more of your wedding needs, too, like
luggage, wedding favors, swim wear, and more. Sellers have new and used
items, so there’s plenty to choose from.
Etiquette
When you celebrate a wedding away from your home environment, there may be
questions as to who pays for what, especially in order to get guests back
and forth. Well, there aren’t strict rules and regulations to adhere by, so
here is what works out best.
Usually both parties; i.e. the bride and her parents plus the groom and his
parents, will all have some part in paying for the wedding. For younger
couples, the parents of both the bride and the groom usually help pay for
most of the wedding expenses, if funds are available. However, often the
bride and groom pitch in and help, too. For older couples getting married,
the couples themselves mote often fit the bills.
A general rule of thumb with expenses is to make sure no one party has to
bear any burden. You want a joyous event without resentment, and it doesn’t
take money to buy love. So adjust plans as necessary to have a happy
occasion.
Other etiquette tips include:
- Make sure to write Thank You notes for shower gifts and mail them as soon
as you can. Don’t go beyond a month’s time or you may forget altogether.
- Also make sure to send Thank You notes for all wedding gifts. Again, don’t
delay too long.
