Fall Wedding Theme

Fall is a wonderful time of the year to host a wedding. Let’s dig in and checkout some Fall planning tips that can help make your fall wedding theme celebration a big success.

Don’t Fall Short: Plan!

Start early with your planning and get a To Do list going. And don’t leave this to scraps of paper with pencil scratches and erasing for your final product. Get a nice 3-ring binder or notebook plus a corresponding plastic sleeve or folder with pockets. Tabbed sections cost pennies and can save dollars plus headaches, so add these, setting up sections in your binder.

Being by setting up basic checklist subject categories with your tabs or place one per page in your notebook, leaving at least an entire page for notes per category. The categories can include whatever you like, featuring ones like these:

• Accessories (Personal)
• Accommodations
• Attire
• Ceremony
• Flowers
• Food
• Gifts
• Helpers
• Music
• Photos
• Stationary
• Reminders
• Reception
• Rehearsal

Then plan accordingly, placing any informational print outs, photos, brochure, pricing sheets, invoices, etc. all together in your folder or plastic sleeve that you can insert into your binder.

Fall Tips

With respect to your fall wedding theme, note these planning tips in the appropriate categories above to help with your celebration.

1) Fall typically means cooler weather, so make sure to note under Accessories, Attire and Accommodations, that guests and members of the wedding party may need sweaters and / or other warmer clothing and accessories (example: hats and gloves in the early morning).

2) Scenic photos should be planned ahead of time. Plus gather plenty of Fall decorative notions that are available either at a craft store or locally, like acorns and beautiful fall leaves for a centerpiece.

3) Fall stationary for invitations, Thank You cards, place cards, note pads for reminders plus maps for your guests and wedding party and other communications can be ordered, found in local stores or crafted with plain stationary and accessories from a local craft or online store, like leaves, stamps in Fall colors, etc.

4) Fall foods that come to mind are locally harvested crops like pumpkins and corn. So plan these fresh foods into your menus with pumpkin bread, pumpkin cookies, corn on the cob, corn casserole and more. Seek recipes from relatives who’d be most happy to share in your celebration.
